The 3rd Annual Brinks Innovation Competition (Deadline June)

The Brinks Innovation Competition helps emerging and venture-ready clean and green technology companies gain visibility and make connections with early-stage investors, researchers, entrepreneurs, clean tech-focused venture capitalists and financiers, and corporate R&D and business development executives.

The 3rd Annual Brinks Innovation Competition, a leading international competition for entrepreneurs in clean and green technologies, has a deadline for entries of Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

Entries must provide solutions to global challenges in such areas as environmental technologies, renewable and alternative energy, infrastructure and community improvements, or green building science, and must offer competitive returns for investors and customers. Products, services and processes eligible for entry should improve and promote the productive and responsible use of natural resources, reduce or eliminate negative ecological impact, and provide superior performance at lower costs. Applicants should also have a sound, venture-ready business plan and have ideally completed an initial or angel round of funding.

The Brinks Innovation Competition is held annually in conjunction with the Midwest Clean Tech Conference, presented by the Global Midwest Alliance and jointly sponsored by Brinks, the Midwest Research University Network and the Economic Development Council. Midwest Clean Tech 2011 will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago on September 14, 2011.

Winners of the 2010 Brinks Innovation Competition include BioIonix, Inc., EcoThermics Corp. and Lumec Control Products.
